I'm in AP Bio and my class uses Biology Third Edition by Campbell. The only difference between the editions (i think they're up to the seventh) is that the graphics are better (from what my teacher tells me).

Cliffs AP Biology is also a good resource (it's not a text book but it does a good job of explaining difficult material). You can get it at Barnes and Noble for around $15-$20.
