I need to apply for competitive scholarship in my school but I have to include a persomal statement on any topic.AM poor in writing and have never written a personal statemnent before.what advice cud you give ?What are some strong appealing beginner statements i can use? What should I include in my essay?PLEASE HELP.Only one page is required so I can't put in too much just enough to make me stand out from the crowd.I am depending on the statement for uniqueness coz my GPA is barely just above 2.5 not so good looking compared to others who will be applying for the same scholarships.Thank you

Do colleges take into account freshmen and senior years? Say if my school calculates my GPA up till but not including my junior year as 3.4, if i take A.P. classes should i double that GPA (3.4+3.4) and then add the my Junior YEAR's GPA (SAY 3.5 w/APs). So would that be 3.4+3.4+3.5 divided by 3 for 3 years? I know how to calculate GPA for a year (add one extra point for honors/ap courses divide by number of courses) but I don't know how to do a cumulative GPA which takes into account my whole tenure at my high school.

This is somewhat of a mixed question and it is most likely based on personal opinion, anyway....

I'm about to get my 2 year Associate degree in Computer Programming, I'll have it next semester. Here is the thing, if I take 5 more classes after that I will receive some type of certificate thing for a "Web Developer", then if I take 2 god awful easy classes after that, I will receive another degree for web development and administration.

I want to attend a 4 year as well, but until I can get Financial Aid or a good job, I will be unable to afford it.

So what do you think I should do, stay an extra 1-2 semesters for another degree or search for jobs? Which will help more, the job certificate + the web developer development and admin degree or actual experience in the work force?

My idea job is a programmer; I realize that’s a generic job type buy I don't really know what all my options are yet. Basically I'm asking what would help me MORE in the REAL WORLD?

My friend has scored between 75% to 80% in his undergraduate computer engineering at University of Waterloo. He plans to do Graduate Studies in the USA in Computer Science/Computer Engineering. The GPA requirement in USA is minimum of 3.2+ in most universities. How does the 75%-80% convert to GPA?

Thanks,

I'm wondering if the University of Florida is the richest in the U.S. It did invent Gatorade. It's sold in more than 50 countries, and Gatorade brings in about $3,000,000 just in the United States alone. So is the University of Florida the riches in the U.S. and/or the world?
