Do colleges take into account freshmen and senior years? Say if my school calculates my GPA up till but not including my junior year as 3.4, if i take A.P. classes should i double that GPA (3.4+3.4) and then add the my Junior YEAR's GPA (SAY 3.5 w/APs). So would that be 3.4+3.4+3.5 divided by 3 for 3 years? I know how to calculate GPA for a year (add one extra point for honors/ap courses divide by number of courses) but I don't know how to do a cumulative GPA which takes into account my whole tenure at my high school.

Take your average every year, add them together then divide it by the number of years you've been in high school. No doubling with AP classes, in fact if they have counted an 'A'as a 4.5 or 5 weighted in your GPA(I think yours counted as a 5 from your description), many colleges do not take this into account and you will have to recalculate any semester's GPA with the scale a=4, b=3, c=2, d=1, f=0. It's confusing, but I hope that helps, college and grad school GPA's only get more complicated!

No specific formula rather. First shrink out all your electives because of the fact those do no longer count, basically use your center instructions (english, technology, math, historic previous, distant places language) and upload up the sum for all the middle type you have taken so a techniques. (i'm valuable you be attentive to the way it works, A=4 B=3 C=2 D=a million F=0) after which you divide via notwithstanding many instructions you used. same as looking a median. in case you have have been given honors or AP instructions however they could be consistent with the two a 5.0 scale or a 4.5 scale counting on how your college does it.

u were right, calculate each years GPA, add them all together and divide by 4, that is ur Cumulative GPA
