I've been looking into applying to this school, I'm interested in hearing about some positive and negative things about it, and possibly some recommendations of other good SUNY schools.

Thanks!

I'm applying to Iowa state university. I have always wanted to major in medical or pre-medical illustration, and it's the only university in IA that offer this major.
the problem is that I don't have a high GPA at all, it's 2.7
and my SAT combined score is pretty average 1550 out of 2400. but I have a terrific drawing ability.

what are my chances of getting accepted do you think? do you think it's too low?

Things I like to do (Order DOES matter)
1. Doing challenging MATH
2. Thinking new ideas in term of PHY/CHEM
3. Studying about Earth's system
4. Finding the explaination of nature
5. Thinking without a purpose
6. Interested topic: Environmental issuses, particle, physical CHEM, energy generation, universe
7. Answering people's questions

Should I be a scientist or engineer?
Which field should I be specialized, please be specific?
The best answer would be the one provides information about research project in that field (which university) and its undergraduate program.

Many thanks, it is extremely important to me. Many thanks.

PS: Would it be better if I do ''General Science'' in University? But my concern would be it maybe too easy for me. Because my school report card is much higher than its entrance requirement. Also, I am planning to take two years off because I am only 15. What can I do within these two years to achieve my goal in post-secondary endcation? Thanks.

I have a "devolopmental" algebra class coming up as a pre-req for basic physics and math for emementary education. I am slightly nervous about it because I didn't do well at algebra in HS. The memory of my high school experience is a little vague, but I am pretty sure it was more laziness on my part than lack of ability to learn. (I was 'diagnosed' as a "gifted" child at the age of 8- once I hit middle school I started rebelling against the teachers and relatives who had high expectations of me by being an underacheiver.) Fast forward to age 27, (last year) and I finally decided I wanted to go to college. (The decision is MINE now- Let's just say I was a willful child and teen. Whatever was expected of me I usually made it a point to do the exact opposite. Luckily I grew up and started respecting authority!) Anyhow, have those of you with even a remotely similar situation found that as an adult the desire to learn caused you to easily tackle subjects that you couldn't in HS?

I'm interested in doing my Master's degree online in Communication at Royal Roads University (based out of Victoria, B.C.). But they cost about double all other similar programs in Canada ! Even a similar online program at Athabasca is $7K cheaper. Other B.C. universities are not this expensive. It's not like Royal Roads has a reputation like Harvard's! Why such a price difference? Is it anywhere near worth it?

I am aware of what the competitive annual salary is for a Radiologist-Physician, however, I am curious of what the salary might be while still in residency. I know that it is no where close to what a you will receive once you have your doctorates, though I am sure it is more than what a Radiology Technologist would make, right?

Radiologist - Physician annual salary; $300,000 - $500,000 first year.

Radiology Tech annual salary; $50,000 - $70,000 first year

Is there any additional funding for doing an extra undergraduate course from another university as my university does not offer that specific course? The course I would like to do is a 10 credit module which would be very beneficial for my final disertation studies. According to the university it is run through any students from other universities are not entitled to any financial support not even consessionary fees. Surely this can not be right is it????

I am a Senior in high school and I hope to go to UCB. I want to major in biology. I live 15 minutes from Berkeley. I went to an independent study school in a disadvantaged district ( I take my work home and work there) and take community college classes as well. My school didn't have AP classes till this year but I petitioned at my school and worked with my principal to get AP classes. I am now taking two AP's (a limited amount are offered). I have a 4.01 GPA but my semester GPA is a 4.44 since I now have AP classes. I have a 3.9 at the community college I take courses at. I got an 1840 on the SAT's (680 Eng, 530 Math, 630 Writing) and 650's on my Lit and Chem SAT II. I was an intern at a wildlife museum and I now work there as a supervisor to the teen volunteers and zoo keeper. I also interned at The Marine Science Institute where I helped collect fish data. I worked as a chemistry tutor. I've played select team soccer 10 yrs and danced for 6. I would really like your opinion/thoughts
