or something else? since she knows everything about forensic entomology she might ridicule my paper even more so just wondering what you guys thought should i pick a different topic?

It depends - if you write a good paper on entomolgy then that would be a good thing. However if you know nothing or little about it you will look bad.

The play safe would be to take a subject you are good at and write about it. Be detailed and know your subject.

If you go with forensic entomology, you will need to find a subject that the teacher has not seen too much about. That can be hard to do without bugging the teacher. What you could do is try to find places where forensic entomology is used in a non-crime scene type investigation. Archeology would be an interesting place. See if it is used there any? Also, check to see about its use in other areas of criminal investigation. People investigating cruelty to animals or maybe sanitation issues. I am guessing here, but I hope to give you a couple of places to maybe start to look.
