Honey do what you feel is best. Online degrees is the wave of the future. Nobody has time to go and sit in a classroom, I work gruesome workdays, mostly until 7- 7:30pm and and I start my online Masters program in April at Western Governor's University. That's fine. Alot of people are afraid, but face it, more and more employers are demanding degrees and are hiring people with them. If you don't have one, sorry, your application gets thrown away.
Go and get your online degree, make sure it's a real program, check the accreditation, check with your state licensure program and then enroll. You will be fine.

Many community colleges and public universities offer some of the required courses online. Even an A.S. degree for nursing is going to require some classroom and clinic time. If it is not a school that offers regular classes as well as online courses, be very wary. Even if it does sound like it might be a real school and not a diploma mill, check them out with the Better Business Bureau and ripoffreport.com, or else you might be wasting your money on a diploma that will be no more useful to you than a scrap of paper. There are LOTS of bogus online 'schools' just waiting to rip you off! Good luck to you!

First is first, check the accreditation of the school. Two popular accreditations are regional and national accreditation. In my opinion Regional Accreditation is better but with that said, I was about to attend a nationally accredited school because it cost much less, majority of the time. One school that has both accreditations is American Public University, and they are very reasonably priced. I would suggest attending a state or private school in your area or out of the area that is well known. So for an example…Colorado State…. You can go to that campus, and you can obtain a degree online. It’s a great school, good accreditation, and employers will recognize it. Where if you go to “Sally’s College” online that nobody has heard of… well that might be wasting your money. Do your research.

A degree online can be just as valuable as one in a brick and mortar school. Something to remember is the accreditation of the school. Regional accreditation is the highest a school can achieve and what you want to look for.

I would contact the 4 year college to which you plan to go and ask them whether they accept transfers from the kind associates degree program you are taking.
