this quiz bowl will be about economics questions at high school level, and with the buzzer system. will it be a good idea to buzz before the question is complete? should i buzz RIGHT AFTER the speaker finish the questions? what other strategies are good in this kind of competition???

Focus on the question; you can buzz in early, but be sure you know the answer before you buzz in. Some questions are written to make you think they will ask one thing when at the end they ask something different. If the competition is about one specific subject, as yours is, it can't hurt to review some books or notes you have on the subject (in general knowledge quiz bowl you can't really study). Most of all, have fun!
