Higher Education (University +) - February 2007

Any ideas for a research topic in strategic management to examine for an MBA dissertation? I would prefer to do one related to the resource-based theory but open to other ideas. Would be useful if you can also suggest why undertaking this topic would be useful (in adding to the current knowlege of strategic management). Also, preferably one (if possible) that can utilise available information (e.g. companies' published accounts) instead of seeking primary data from surveys, etc.

I'm just wondering. Do they only look at your freshman, Sophomore, and Junior grades? I thought senior grades were also important too.

y varies jointly with the cube of x and the square of z and inversely with the square of the sum of x and z if y = 72 when x= 2 and z=3 , then find the value of y when x= -1 and z=5.....thx...... I am very lost plz explain all work and answers in detail thx

Note jointly means multiplied inversely in devide

This is a bit long, but please bear with me, b/c I really your need help.

I know that this is going to sound like a phsyco question, but I need to know. Does ANYONE know where I can buy the above decribed manikins? I'm a nursing student (first semester) and I am looking to buy a manikin like we practice with in the lab with at school. I'm a live -in-care giver and so when I leave the house I'm paying (over min. wage mind you) for a sitter to stay w/ my pt. So there fore it costs me so much to just go to class and stay after long enough to validate my critical skills, that I dont get enough practice time in, cause I HAVE to leave asap to get back to my pt and get the sitter off the CLOCK. :) :(
So what i'm asking is, is there anyone out there willing to donate a manikin or know how I can get one for no more that $400. Preferby not that much. Please let me know. I really need this help.!!!!

Do you people think its dumb and pointless for colleges to require foreign language classes. For example OK St, requires 2 years of same language in High School or 10 hours of college. Im a Computer Science major, if the college is really preparing me for real life, how would knowing french help me build software?

I've already applied to several colleges but i'm wondering if there are any other ones that I should consider. What college do/did you go to? Do you like it? Why or why not? Hi I am a high school graduate and am really interested in getting into a community college to take courses to be a X-ray Tech or Ultrasound Tech and was wondering how much would the whole college tuition be. I plan on going just for two years and getting a basic degree. I just need an estimate so I know what to expect and about how much so I can start thinking about grants and loans and saving money, all that good stuff. I'm graduating this semester, but I plan on working for a year or two first before applying. Should I get the letters from my professors now? Or should I wait and ask for them later? Or by that time, should I just ask my employer? I'm afraid my employer then won't be closely tied to my grad school area of study.
