Has anyone taken the Bar/Bri or equivalent law school prep course? I've seen on their websites it's good for grasping an understanding of some of the law lingo, preparing briefs and helping with law exams. Anyone out there who took it what did you think? I want to make sure before I drop 1k on it

You mean for preparing you for law school? Not the LSAT? I don't know anyone who spent the money on it. Your law school will have a welcome week that will teach you some of that stuff. Others, you just pick up on the way.

Take case briefs. It's not that hard to do. My law school stuff is on my other laptop, but there's just a short list of info you need to jot down. Most of my briefs only took about half a page.

Just buy a law dictionary to learn terms you're unfamiliar with. There's no special secret to law exams. It's highly dependent on the individual professor.

Is this an intro course before law school or the one that helps prepare for the Bar exam? I think some of the bar exam courses try to get people to sign up their first year of law school (even though you don't take the exam for another 3 years) and they might offer an intro course for new students as a promotional thing.

if you are talking about taking the bar review prep course before the bar exam, yes, it's absolutely worth it. Otherwise, it really depends on exactly what you are referring to.
