Pharmacy is my major and actually I'm applying for OCC, then intend to transfer to a four-year college. But i'm not sure about which university i should transfer to achieve my major. So could anybody tell me some information about the universities in southern CA that offer the pharmacy program? Thanks much!

i'm in college and i'm having a hard time deciding what i want to do as a career. i was thinking it would be fun to be an editor for a magazine like Seventeen. i also think it might be fun to write a book or book series kind of like the "American Girl" series. but neither of those seem very realistic. any ideas you could give me would be appreciated. here's a list of what i like:

i'm a history major with a particular interest in the WWII era.
i like geography and political policies as they relate to history.
i also study art.
i love fashion and see that as kind of an art as well.
i'm a very good writer (according to my professors).
i love observing people and have a good memory.
i would love to travel.
i am very quiet and don't really have the greatest social skills.

p.s. i really don't want to be a teacher, nor do i want to have an office job where i'm stuck in a cubicle with florescent lights. some research is ok but i don't want that to be the staple of my job.

I am a junior in highschool. I wirte for my school's newspaper and i am planning on contiuning to do so for my senior year as well. I was just wondering how it would look on my application. I do several other extra curriclars in school as well as a sport. However what i am asking is that I am only staff photographer (by choice- i could have been an editor if i chose)...most probably next year i will move upto Photo Editor. Is it true that if i'm not Editor in Chief then colleges dont really care?

Also...what are the qualifications to join the newspaper staff of the University of Illinois- Chicago and Loyola University- Chicago? Do you have to have/be planning to have a journalism major because i want to do Pre-med and Bio major.

Aside from making the degree holder a little more marketable, is it something people want to get because other people have them and it is another thing they can say they have, which could imply they are smart?

The version directed by Michael Hoffman showed the actors trying to be serious, but becoming ridiculously silly.

Doesn't really flow. :l

I'm a high school junior this year. I'm valedictorian of my class of 500, and thus, I'm looking to apply to and attend a top college.

This summer, I was planning to work as a day camp counselor--same thing I've done for the past 3 years. But seeing as this is the "college crunch time," my parents and I are beginning to think that perhaps I should take some sort of for-credit precollege program instead. I know of many schools that offer them (Harvard, Brown, Yale, etc), and my mom said she'd reimburse me for not earning a salary this summer.

However, I'm trying to figure out if I really want to dedicate my summer to more school. Has anyone attended one of these programs, and if you did, what were your thoughts? Also, does anyone know how much they'd truly affect college admissions?

Other than the ones who obviously can't finish in four years, like those going to graduate school and stuff like that.

But people who are like me, for example. I'm currently at a community college planning to transfer, then finish with a BA at wherever. I'm just wondering what the rush is. We're going to be working all our lives so I just don't see the need to rush into it. Is it that you get looked down upon in the working world if you take long to finish?

Right now, for me, I feel like it's a lot easier (and gives better results) to have a lighter load and take longer to graduate than to cram six classes each semester to graduate sooner. I'm just wondering if it's okay that I'm going at a slow pace, and whether or not it'll be harmful for me in the long run.

im in my early 30s, as a teen i was skipped from 7th to 9th grade but i ended up dropping out of high school twice. (long story) I eventually got my GED 10 years after i was supposed to graduate. I went to a community college 3yrs after i got the GED, i only took 2 classes because i was working (math and english) then i dropped out of college. A year later i enrolled in a trade school for HVAC (air conditioning) for a 9 month program..i did graduate. However, i ended up not liking that field and went into something else. Now, im not satisfied with my life and i want to get a bachelors degree but im afraid i may fail and at my age failure isnt an option. in high school, i was a C or D student (closer to a D avg. and got alot of Fs). I dont want live like this and i feel getting a degree is my only hope. what should i do? i have a wife and several kids..how can i succeed? who do i need to consult? who can help me?! PLEASE HELP!

i'm interested in going to stanford and i was wondering if there are any current attendants of the school or any alumni that could give me advice on what classes to take in high school...or just any advice in general would be great (i'm hoping to major in psychology there...)

Right now i am at a major university and i am earning a 4 year psychology degree that is meant to help people who want to go to graduate school. However, i don't want to be at this university any more and one of my options is to go to a small, four year college near my parents house. They offer a four year degree in psychology but it seems a bit more general. Would a degree like that be good enough to get into grad school or would i be rejected from grad school, even with a high GPA, if i had a general psychology degree?

If someone said he/she could tutor you in a subject (any subject) for 100 days for 50% of the price of a college class in that subject BEFORE you took the class in college and guaranteed that you would pass the class with at least a C or get another 100 days for free, would you sign up for the tutoring?

I cant concentrate on my work which is why i never finish my work on time. I am also always obsessing that something is not good enough and even when i do a paper I am loathe to proofread it because Im afraid (im not even sure of what). It s a shame because I love to write and I love history but I cant seem to get my stuff together. I can't focus. I'll do a couple of lines in my paper and then i have to get up and pace the room back and forth and then check my e-mail etc.
