What classes.major (in college) should I take if I want to have a career where I help people socially.?

I'm an English major though I can't see myself teaching instead I do a lot more community service and things for the community.

Depends on what u mean socially.. Teachers do that to an extend..so do psychologist and social workers..It all depends on what u really want to do everyday of ur life and how u want to do service.

Sounds like you need some bleeding heart courses. Maybe some moan and groan classes, some welfare scam courses would help. Never forget to take some courses on shifting blame.
