Yes it is. Give your self a pat on the back! Although you may not feel as though you have accomplished something great, you have.

Going to college isn't all about doing it to get a better job (although most people do go to college for that very reason) My aunt (who is a grandma) and is very old, 57 I believe.

She has a great job for someone who didn't go to college to get a degree. She got married young and so she did many jobs before such as a flight attendant but later settled down with fine paying and enjoyable job for her.

A while ago, she decided she wanted to get her bachelor's degree in theoley at a local (and presitgous) private college nearby. Her children go there allowing her to go there for free. (After they graduated, she still had two years to pay) But she did it just for the feeling of this accomplishment which you have finished.

You may have gone to college for the job aspect, but you may also want to think about your experience and the knowledge you are leaving it with.

It is a great accomplishment, but it affects different people different ways. I considered it a great accomplishment that I graduated from high school because I had so many problems that year. It depends on how hard you work for it and how much effort it requires. I've noticed the ones who seem to feel like they accomplished the most by graduating are those who had a tougher time just getting through everything. Maybe once it settles in it will be better.

If you don't learn to appreciate what you have, you will never be satisfied. Millions of youth around the globe could not finish college because of several reasons. You are lucky you have, grab this as an opportunity to go out there, be a professional and help other people, or find a job and be the best of what you can be. Congratulations for graduating, be proud of what you were able to accomplish, it means you have the ability to do even more greater things, now - go out to the world and carve your own niche.

I just graduated may 06 and i felt the exact same way. I didnt even go to my graduation because i didnt think it was a big deal.
I still don't really think it was a big deal, but only because my degree hasnt really done anything for me yet.

I think once you're at a job you love and realize what your degree actually did for you, you might appriciate the fact that you've graduated.

It's possible that it just doesn't seem like a big deal to some people. I'm told it will eventually though.

It is a milestone to graduate from college. You should be happy with yourself. Maybe once you apply everything that you have learned in the outside world, you will feel a sense of pride about it.

It's a letdown you are feeling. It doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment now, but potential employers see it as a HUGE plus when looking at candidates. You might be feeling this way for a number of reasons, try not to worry about it.

Well, it is hard work and considering it's not mandatory it is great you finished. On the other hand, a large popluation of people go on to further their education in some way at some point in time so it's more or less expected of people. Congratz though... I never graduated!

Did you try your hardest? did you go for what you wanted to get your degree in?

I am 31 and will be graduating in May with my Bachelors and I am proud as hell. It took me a long time and alot of hard work to get here. This summer I start my grad work!

Its a good accomplishment, but a better one would be to go for a Masters or a Doctorate.
