Pharmacy is my major and actually I'm applying for OCC, then intend to transfer to a four-year college. But i'm not sure about which university i should transfer to achieve my major. So could anybody tell me some information about the universities in southern CA that offer the pharmacy program? Thanks much!

Yes any one of the large universities has most all types of medical classes. There are also other colleges of health that offer classes in pharmacy programs. Get your basic classes out of the way like English classes and stuff at the lower levels and take all the possible classes towards your degree first so that is it not so expensive. There are several big hospitals down there and I would ask them all where they hire out of and what schools did their people in pharmacy go to. Ask the ones in the drug stores ask around you may find out that it is a variety of places. I know that there is one up the street from me in Riverside that is one of their main program subjects
here are some web sites for you

and the list goes on and on
ask your counselor at OCC to help you
or if you are in the TRiO program this is one of the ways they are to help you.

Univ of Southern California and Western Univ are the only two pharmacy schools in southern california. UC San Diego is in the process of opening one up though.

You're not really going to find a 4 yr college with Pharmacy as a major. It's like finding a medicine major. They really don't exist. You just have to take the courses required by Pharmacy schools, but your major doesn't matter too much.

I don't even think OCC has a pharmacy major if you check. They might offer a pharm tech program, but that's totally different.

I stay in Philly and picture USP (college of the Sciences in Philadelphia) grants a 6-3 hundred and sixty 5 days software in pharmacy. also because that is widely speaking a scienctific college their facilites are somewhat good. that is right interior the heart of Philly so there is continuously something to do. As an total i might want to recommend this college. large facilites, a mess of clinical courses, yet there are different majors too, area is large, instructors are right researchers. that is something to seem into boo! good success

There's UCSD, UCSF, Loma Linda, Touro, University of the Pacific, USC, and Western U.
In California, you almost need a bachelors to be considered for pharmacy school.
