I went to a Community College and got my 2 year degree then transferred to a 4 year school. Despite what some people here are saying, I haven't found the 4 year school to be "harder" other than the fact that I'm taking junior and senior level classes as opposed to the freshman/sophomore classes I took at the Community College. Community College is good because it's cheaper and the class sizes are smaller. I saved a bunch of money getting my first two years out of the way at a Community College. In the end, I'll have a degree from a 4 year school just like all those people who went there the whole 4 years. It's basic economics people!

That said, you should check you Community College out before you start. Make sure the credits will transfer to the 4 year schools you're thinking about going to later.

No, going to a community college will not make you regretful that you missed out on going to a community college. For one, going to a community college is much cheaper than going to a university and it will save you thousands of dollars once you graduate. Two, you can transfer from a community college to a university if your goal is to get a four year degree. I don't think you will miss out on the college experience if you are going to a university for the remainder of your four year education after graduating from a cc. Remember that you are there to learn and while partying may be fun, it shouldn't dictate why you are choosing to go to a university. As far as USCB or UCI, I don't know because I don't have information about those universities. You should talk to a counselor to get that information and weight the pros and cons yourself. It is harder academically to go to a university, but it is easier on the pocket book to go to a community college. Hence, the combination is the best. Start the first two years at a community college then go on to finish your degree at a university. This way you will enjoy both worlds academically and save a bit on the cost.

have never heard of 4 year community college, but niversity is harder, the classes first of all are bigger. Thge teachers never repeat what they are lecturing on. would rather choose the community college to start off, and then I would go to university. The choice is you, many prefer the community college because as stated before it is just easier.

Community college grants you a two year associates degree which is bascially similar to the first two years at a 4 year undergraduate university. The 4 year university grants you a bachelors degree, and its two more extra years than a community college.

Hi

Usually a community college is lesser in price...What I would do is...take your standard courses..the classes that you need...the basic classes...(Math, english, science, foreign language, etc)..then in your Junior year..transfer to a 4 year college...(you will be going there richer...)Then you focus on your course of study.

Most community college has professors from major colleges teaching the classes..they are either on sabatical or retired...just make sure that your classes can transfer to what ever college you are going to...(4 year university/college).

another idea..you may want to take a clept exam...to get the credits but not needing to take the whole class (semester)..also there are online classes...if you choose to work first...

good luck!

Depends on the school, but I think University school is always harder than community.

well first of all, there is no four year community college. well, unless you stay there for four years, but you cannot get a bachelors from there. only an accredited four year university can get you that. if transferring is your goal, than the first two years of university and equal-status general education classes are of equal difficulty in both institutions. but as a rule of thumb, a community college is cheaper, will admit everyone, and are numerous. universities are not. i suppose that sufficiently answers your question.
