I did sooo bad this first semester. The transition to high school really threw me for a loop, and my grades suffered terribly. I normally get a 4.0. Will having a mere 2.75 GPA first semester of freshman year keep me from getting into the college of my choice?

Currently I'm just a freshman in high school, but I feel very strongly about becoming a Lutheran Pastor. I'm going to make it clear here that I am NOT asking for your opinions on female Pastors, please keep your comments to yourself. However, I would really appreciate any information you would be willing to provide on four plus year colleges & universities where I could aquire a degree in Theology. Please colleges & universities that are willing to give scholarships, and please give any information necessary on how to work towards obtaining a substantial scholarship. Thank you so much! Have a good day.

Where can you get a degree like this? Is it only available online or are there universities who teach this on campus?

I want to get a Master's degree online, but I'm not sure if the University of Phoenix Online is a real college or if it is just a con. Does anyone know for sure? Would employers look down on me for having UOP on my resume?

I'm a college student who is pursuing to gain a degree in Biology. However, I just realized that my school only awards a degree in Bachelors of the Arts in Biology and not Bachelors of Science. Although I'm working just as hard for my B.A. in Biology compared to another student who has a B.S. in Biology, what is the major difference between the two? Will medical schools or employers look down on a B.A. in bio?

I've earned a B.A. in Anthropology (graduated May 2005). Cultural anthro is really my passion. I recently began attending graduate school for childhood education, and am doing well. I am not feeling challenged right now, and I would really like to get my Master's in antrho.... I never asked any profs for letters of reccomendation bc I didn't need them for the program I am currently in. Is it too late to ask my old profs for letters? Am I out of luck?? I need 3 letters to apply for the anthro program, what should I do??

Ok, I'm a junior in high school and I just finished the first semester, because the year is divided into two. First term is from Sep. - Jan. and second term is from Feb. - Jun. I was wondering if colleges look at all at the first term grades, because I was told by students as well as teachers that they look only at the second term grades, especially the grades that you get at the end like in May and June, and that those grades are the only ones that go on your transcript.

I would just like to know. Thanks!!

For 2 years I studied translation proficiency at kazakh-American University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Now I am studying at Davis&Elkins College in Elkins, WV - my major is education. But this year is my last one at this college. I want to transfer to another college in NYC, NY. Is that possible to transfer, beeing a translation proficiency student for 2 years, than an education student. I wish to continue the education major. I mean, 2 years at my country + the year at D&E College- so to transfer to the last year at the College with education major. So, this is it.

does this mean they are at least considering me?

I'm a college undergraduate at a local small 4 year university that offers a wide range of fields to major in. I currently am 21 years old, 60 hours of coursework completed (all basic/entry level courses, no specialized classes). I intend on continuing my degree after I finish a Bachelors, onto a master's and doctorate. The only problem is, I have a 3.44 GPA, I'm somewhat behind compared to other students (some of my classmates from HS are already finished) and I have no idea what I like to do as far as this situation comes. Both of my parents have cancer, I support myself by being a waiter, and I don't have the best advisory group as family (Only 1 of my family have graduated with a B.S.).

I currently am interested in Mechanical Engineering. I would like to work in Robotics. The thought of creating something that like interests me. I also did well in my Biology and Chemistry classes. I'm good at mathematics as well.

HELP! :)
