I'm a college student who is pursuing to gain a degree in Biology. However, I just realized that my school only awards a degree in Bachelors of the Arts in Biology and not Bachelors of Science. Although I'm working just as hard for my B.A. in Biology compared to another student who has a B.S. in Biology, what is the major difference between the two? Will medical schools or employers look down on a B.A. in bio?

I have never heard of getting a Bachelor of Arts in a Science but things may have changed. As far as I know a Bachelor of Sciences is awarded to students who have completed a program in the sciences: chemistry, biology, etc and a Bachelor of Arts is awarded to people who major in the liberal arts: English,Foreign languages, history.

Although it may take the same number of units/credits to graduate, usually, a BS requires more science and math classes than a BA.

I would want to go for a BS.
