A Masters degree is better than a Bachelors and better yet is a Doctorate. The more school the better the education.

A BA is a Bachelor degree and MA is a Masters degree so you would want an MA if you were wanting the highest level of education in something. Good Luck!

The MA (Masters) is the more advanced degree. But its not a question of which is "better"--they're sequential. It works like this: When you go through college as an undergraduate and finish, you get a bachelor's degree (BA, BS, or whatever). You have to have a bachelor's before you are eligible for graduate school. If you have a good academic record (doing graduate work is not automatic, you have to have a good enough undergraduate record to be accepted) you start work on a master's program; after that you can go still further and work on a Ph.D. (doctorate). Some Ph.D programsallow you to start working directly on a doctorate out of undergraduate college--you earn the masters as part of the Ph.D. program.

The Ph.D. is sometimes called a "terminal degree" because that's as far as formal education goes in n academic discipline--after that you're considered to be able to teach, do research--and to teach yourself whatever you may need to learn (like keeping up with developments in your field by reading on your own.)

A Master's degree takes at least one year more than a Bachelor's degree.

An MA means you have more education... but which is better? Depends on what you want to do in a career. Some jobs require a masters, others would rather you only have a BA/BS when they hire you because your pay would rise if you started with more education. Sometimes better to hire cheap than smart!

So ... yeah. Just get me a job, somebody, that I can use my B.S. in successfully.

A masters degree is better... you can do it right after you finish your bachelors degree.
