accountancy or marketing?

Definitely accounting. My sister is an accountant and makes big $$$.

I have several friends and many acquaintances who have degrees in marketing and none of them are working in their fields and none are making nearly as much as my sister. Go for accounting and definitely take the CPA exam. I wish I had.

Accountancy is something that you can use everywhere. Marketing jobs can be tough to keep depending on where you are at b/c a lot of marketing firms lay quite a few people off at times. You can always find a job looking for accounting skills. Plus having accounting skills (especially after Enron) does pay well in salary!

Depends on what your specialty is in the business field you are majoring in at school . Accounting basics are essentially necessary for all business majors while marketing is a specific type of business skill but it has values that are complex enough that you need to know the bottom line of what your business is doing and accounting works here with marketing.

Accounting by far, can be applied almost anywhere and look in the paper for those jobs, its almost you can write your own job description. Since its a coruse yout taking and not a major, you should not really think twice. If your a business major, you have to take it? What is your major?
