I've never given a speech before and don't have any good ideas. Our professor told us a lot of topics we couldn't cover
+disease of any type
+seatbelts,
+substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, tobacco, etc.)
+Iraq
+Child or spousal abuse,
+diet, exercise
+Olympics and/or animal rights.

I am looking at Universitys and colleges, preferable in MD, DC, or VA, that I might want to attend and I wanted to ask if any of you knew of schools where they offered the bechelors degree in two years.... I am thinking of going into medical school so it had to be a degree in biology, chemisty, or psychology*. Thank you

I won't be able to go to class tomorrow. Should I e-mail my professors to let them know? There's like 60 people in all of my classes and we just started school last week so I don't know if it's that important to let them know. I would go by their offices but they told us they would rather be contacted by e-mail. Thanks for the help.

I am looking to major in engineering and I'm wondering which school to go to for undergraduate. I know that Berkeley has a very highly ranked engineering program (3rd???), but I also have word from people directly involved at Berkeley that it is very impersonal and that classes with 500 or 600 or more are normal. Also I'm told it is very difficult to get research because professors don't care about undergraduates. USC doesn't have as highly ranked a program (9th???) but it doesn't look like there are classes with much more than 300 in them and several of the low level engineering classes have 100 or fewer people in them. Well, what is your people's advice?

Oh, one more thing, my dad told me that these rankings only really pertain to graduate school, but I included them anyway since I'm sure they have professors at both universities that teach both undergraduates and graduates.

This comment was posted by one of my student, whom I asked not to talk over the cell phone in class. I came across this comment today and was totally shocked. I spend so much time preparing for the classes and I try to do my best teaching students, and now I discover that two of them discuss me and my words in a humiliating and insulting manner.

They even posted my e-mails that I had sent to them - those e-mails were totally correct and dealt woth academic issues.

well, you could say im ALMOST one of those straight A students, but here my current plan...

1)Get at least 2 A's and 1 B in A2 (chemistry,maths,physics), and a B in AS biology.
2)apply for a top uni, that has minimum requirements of AAB in A2, plus the B in AS, and try for chemical biology (4 year degree course).
3) Get a '1st' in my degree.
4) then apply for medical school, which wants a '1st' class degree. in which 900 people apply- for only 164 places. this includes an extra test to get in-which examines more than just knowledge.
5) come out of medical school- ready for a decent, well-paid job.

what you guys think of my chances ? :D

I am currently enrolled in an online accounting program to obtain my bachelors degree in accounting. I'm curious as to whether or not a person can attend 2 different schools at the same time. While still attending my school, I wanted to know if I could apply to another to obtain an accounting diploma online. I just thought it might further my career to have as much training as possible, but I didn't know if you could actually do this or not. Any advice would be appreciated.

What company or product advertising is good to write about?
I either need to follow it's ads from the past and compare and contrast on what models they used and why and who they use nowadays and why etc. It has to be print ads. We're allowed to compare and contrast with another product of its kind too. Its up to us. What do you reckon? any ideas? thanks.
