As a high school student I would say because they are more open to things than their parents were. They want their own independence and feel that society norms are not what they want. As a liberal, I feel as if the conservative views are way too religious and a vast majority of high school students don't care about religion. That plays a big part.

Because we are with the times. We know what is going on and where the government should be headed, unlike you old fogies. The right wingers are the assholes, in case you haven't noticed. THEY are the ones who get into power using their money and contacts. Liberals are fair fighters who are looking to the future, unlike the conservatives who are stuck in the past and are continuing to make the same mistakes over and over again.

because they're stupid and caught up in moronic social issues not pertinent to life. for instance they care about abortion control because they don't want to mess up their lives having a kid because they can't control themselves. they want to legalize drugs so they can use them recreationally. they fail to see that we're at war, they fail to understand how medicare, social security and welfare are going to dry up soon if there is no action taken. they are riding high on mommy and daddy's money.
