All formula are derived using basic math, but as you go in to advance study they require nothing but calculus.

Go to a library pick up any Advance book in any subject, they all look like calculus book. Even the psychology and Philosophy, where statistic are applied to come to conclusion.

Yes, you require to know about mathematics. Especially in BE and B.Tech we require a depth knowledge in mathematics.
