your AGPA acumulative GPA is taken into account. So they add up all the GPA's you ever ygot through highshcool, avrage them and thats what they go by. If you get a 3.75 for the rest of your highschool career you still can get into the best of schools.
Dont stress about grades so much. I wish i didnt while i was in HS. Do you best and learn, If you do well on your ACT's or SAT's you'll be fine. Plus if you go to a junior college for the first 2 years of your College its grat cause then they jsut see what credits you took, transfer students have a much easier time getting into te Ivory leauge schools muchless a state univeristy or so.
Good luck and have fun, freshies are always the funnest.

Colleges will look at your accumulative GPA from Freshmen to Junior year. They will look at trends in your grades, like, if you always get B's in math and science, or if you had horrible grades freshmen year and then Spohomore and Junior year you have had perfect grades. Colleges at first just look at your GPA and SAT or ACT scores, and then after they see that your GPA and scores are good enough for the school, they will look at your extracurricular activities and trends in your grades.

They'll look at your overall high school GPA and your senior year classes, but they aren't going to look at your transcript and say "Oh, this kid only got a 2.75 GPA their first semester of high school, they're out of the running". Once you adjust to high school and pull your grades up you should be fine.

I don't think so. I think many colleges will understand that transition from middle school to high school is a tough one. Just make an effort to really do a nice job for the rest of high school (and if you usually get a 4.0, that shouldn't be a problem), and I'm sure you'll be just fine. :)

Yes they will look at your grades freshmen year but if you however improve them then you will still be up and running for the college of your choice, but unfortunately if you want to go to a competitive college like Harvard then they will take a person who did well all the time.
Hope this helps.
