I've decided to take some time off college (that is not what i need advice about so don't try to talk me out of it) it is something I have thought long and hard about and I just feel like college isn't right for me at this point in my life...I just want to work and make/save money and become financially independent...i live with my grandparents and the whole reason i moved here with them was to go to school, and i'm really worried about telling them that i dont want to be in school right now. they're really set on me going to college because not a lot of people in my family did. i'm afraid they might kick me out if i stop going to school, or they'll take away my car. any help on how to talk to them would be much appreciated!!

I was going to community college to become an RN. nurse but the courses math, science were to intensive so i decided that i should get my LVN. instead becuz i think the courses for this trade is less intensive i was going to a trade school for LVN but had to drop out and my student loan was canceled ( thank god) becuz there are some community colleges offering LVN courses i was told. Is LVN nursing a good field that will secure my future or should i look else where? if it is a good field are there any schools offering homestudy or schools close by victorville california im looking for schools that don't require me to take out a stuident loan again like trade schools

Please do not give me opinions only. I am putting my resume together and want to include my major GPA. My question is that I failed an archaeology class (I am a classics major), which could have counted towards my major, but I satisfied all requirements with 30 credit hours from other classes. Technically, this class is not contributing to my major, but I want to be completely accurate and honest in reporting my major GPA. I emailed my advisor and have not gotten a response so I am wondering if there are any college professors/advisors/faculty out there that can help me.

Please answer only if you know for sure, no opinions please. Thank you.

Is it still possible to go to an Ivy League...if you start out at a community college?

I heard that the Ivy Leagues usually don't take transfers as much as freshman?

BTW, GPA is between 3.7 to 3.8, and still have other classes to take, so I still can make my GPA higher score.

SATs...well, my previous & current education (including a tech school, classes at 2-year private college, and now a community college) never required them. So I ended up building all my college credits without any SATs. Plus some universities have told me that I won't need SATs because of all my college credits and being out of high school for over 10 years.

So, considering where I'm tranferring from, my GPA, and my SATs situation, can I still get into an Ivy League?

(Not that I have to...just want to know if it's possible.)

I am going to change my major to education to become a professor. Is there a particular degree in education I should go for? I know they have programs for early childhood education but what about for people who want to become college professors?

Or would you not, b/c it seems that there is NO HOPE (but the professor hasn’t came out & told you that you are failing, you’re just pretty sure of it anyways without asking)?

I'm going to be a single mother of three kids soon. I've never been to college and want to go to become a RN (something I've always wanted to do). I graduated HS in 1991. Is it too late for me? I think I need some support but am open to negative honesty. I'm kind of scared of the whole situation.

I was academically dismissed seven years ago from a four-year college. Now I want to go back to school and don't know if I can realistically get in to another four-year college. The original university is making it very difficult to be considered for re-enrollment, and it may not even be possible. Can this one school ruin my chances of getting an education?
