Or would you not, b/c it seems that there is NO HOPE (but the professor hasn’t came out & told you that you are failing, you’re just pretty sure of it anyways without asking)?

Yeah I worked my but off the whole summer semester! Then when we got to Java about a month ago, it ALL went down hill. I couldn't keep up, it was too new 4 me & I didn't understand it & the summer is a faster pace.
I'm p*ssed b/c I feel like I shouldn't of worked that hard at all if this is what I was gonna get.
I'm not sure if the community college's pollicy allows for the freedom of an instructor's opinoin, I think they have to stick to the rules & fail me based on my grades.
BUMMER.
However, everyone in the class (that I helped out b4 Java ... I tutored some of them in HTML & DHTML) & even my BF told me to keep doing all the work & turn it what I have & do the last test anyways, b/c they think what yall just said, that she might pass me. But I don't want to waste my time if my fate is sealed regardless. I mean I'm so burt out, I don't know if it's worth 1 more day of tourture... Ya know? What should I do?!?

It's too late to withdraw, it's too late for anything...
I either do the work hope for the best or save my self the trouble (if it's really true that I'll fail).

Today is the LAST day, I have no other options.

I've been trying to work on stuff & understand this stupid JavaScript, but I'm telling you, I'm SOoo LOST.

I was NOT failing b4 the withdraw DATE...
I was one of the best in the class...
This is why I stuck it out, I thought hay how hard can JavaScript really be plus I want to learn it anyways I'm not leaving!

Then we got on the last 5 tutorials, &, well, I was LOST....

You can't fail unless you stop trying.

If you show the teacher you know your stuff by coming out and nailing the finals, you would also be showing the desire to succeed, and that could prompt your teacher to help you out.

The worst thing you can do is to give up.

I would meet with the teacher to find out what, if anything, I can do to improve my grade. If it really is hopeless try looking into withdrawing or having an "incomplete" that allows you to do work after the end of the class, within an agreed upon timeline to improve your grade. You should never give up.

I would have withdrew from the class way before finals if I knew I was failing but if its too late to withdraw... STUDY YOUR *** OFF FOR THAT FINAL AND KICK SOME BUTT ON THAT FINAL!!! If you Ace it you might be able to get you professor to raise you grade and you might pass the class!

Yes. There is value in taking the finals. I have passed a couple classes that I thought I would fail anyways!!!

It's worth pursuing it if only for the challenge. You may surprise yourself. Also, ask that instructor how you are doing. If it is poorly, ask him/her/it for help. Most teachers are only too happy to help if asked.
Also, most of us approach assessments from the worst to the best. You may be doing better than you feared. Be courageous, and work hard, ask, and you may do very well.
Best of luck,
Dan.

I would still try my hardest on the Final, just because if the Professor sees your efforts, he/she might help you out a bit.

Besides, you never know, you might not be failing.

I usually take them anyway. Maybe he will give you a few points for effort.
