For me, AP Physics was easier than AP Chemistry. And out of those two, I was better at Electricity and Magnetism and Relativity than at Mechanics. Subjects like Math and Physics are usually harder because they require you to THINK and that can be pretty hard for some people. People are just used to memorizing stuff or being told how to do something so they just do them like mindless drones.

Just pay attention in class and try not to fall asleep.
And do the HW and do it with your own hands. That is the only way to learn.
Have you taken calculus or are you taking AP Calculus simultaneously? You must have either taken calculus or be taking it together otherwise it will be suicide. But taking both of those classes together WILL take a looooooooot of effort and time.

When you say AP it sounds like you are still in high school. I took Chemistry in high school and Calculus based Physics in college. They were both hard but I think the Chemistry was harder. Chemistry requires more memorization of compounds, where physics involves using equasions to calculate speeds, distances and electrical currents.

I am an engineer so that may have some bearing on my view.

You will be fine, if you are in high school taking AP Chemistry and Physics, props. Just do your homework!

I found physics much easier than chemistry. Of course, I am mathematically inclined -- so my brain works when I do physics. Chemistry involved too much memorization, while physics only involved the ability to think analytically.
