I know that I read the word in a novel by Dessen (either Just Listen or This Lullaby ). I am almost positive it started with a "P" like pirguet (looked like this- dont even think this is a real word...) or something. I don't know. But I really would like to find out. So please help me out if you don't mind.

I live with my parents, but they are not going to help pay for my school. I was going to do fafsa, but my parents make to much money, so i dont think it will work. I dont really want to get loans cuz I dont want to get stuck with big bills and interest when i graduate, but I might have to. Anyone know of the best place to get student loans with the best rates. I can use any advice possible. thanks

im 16 & beginning my college search. i used to always want to go to princeton, but now that im really looking into it, princeton doesnt seem to offer the majors im passionate about. im top of a class of about 150, will have taken approximately 12 ap classes by the time i graduate, have 400+ hours of community service, & do a lot of extracurricular activities. right now, i really want to write & direct films for my job. i used to think about being a lawyer or a doctor, but if i choose either of those careers, i may be successful, but never fulfilled or satisfied. i want to go to a great college because i know i have a good chance of getting in, but i want to go to college for filmmaking and screenplay writing. maybe even double in psychology- not because i want to be a psychologist but because the human mind interests me &can help me create influential movies. lol sorry for rambling, but basically what are top colleges that have great film programs(yale, stanford, columbia, etc??)

I'm just wondering if anyone knows the steps that I or someone in a position of authority at my school can take in order to become accredited. Maybe a website or a book of reference would be helpful.

I am actually studying for a foreign service officer test where prominent history questions regarding Foreign Policy and national governmental achievements are asked.

I have come to the conclusion thus far in my studies that I need to review ammendments, treaties, agreements, etc. So, I plan to get a hold of a College level history book for review.

What is the best way to review these things? I was thinking of using flash cards but do not want to depend on memorizing everything.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Should you not apply to a program that does not have any Full-time faculty who have research interests in the area you want to write your thesis on? Because there's a really great school I want to apply to but I read all the faculty bio's and not a single person has the same research interest as me, or even a somewhat similar research interest.
I'm finding that I'm running into this problem with a lot of the grad schools I have been researching and the majority of them are well-known ones. What should I do

For example-- "Nothing can be strong without a strong foundation." But something a little better.
