I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of sources are available for affording college if you come from an underpriviledge family? I will be attending my second year of college which have been paid through grants but after 2 years, pheaa will no longer pay, only pell will. I would take out loans except my parents and myself have poor credit. I could work full time and go to school full time but then I am taking a chance of having my grades slip. Any suggestions?

I am attending Southern CT State Uni. this fall. Although, I would to transfer to a competitive college after I get my grades up from high school. I slacked off heavily in my soph and junior years. What is the likelihood that I can transfer to a school such as NYU or BC, provided I get good grades at SCSU?

I go to Berkeley.
My professor is from somewhere in England and most of her students find it very hard to understand her.
Why do universities hire these teachers? Don't they know there's an accent barrier? Are they deaf? Do they want us to fail?!!

In the Fafsa I put my parents are married but they filed their income as head of household seperately and i only turned in my dads income because he claims me my school wanted proof that they were divorced but they are not I need financial help. I have a 3.73 GPA as of 11th grade. In 10th grade I screwed up. In 9 & 11th grade I had a 4.0 Next year, I plan to recieve a 4.0 as well, bringing up my GPA. Almost every class I have taken (in every subject) has either been advanced placement, or accelerated. For electives-debate, band, French, film, & yearbook. I am enrolled at the community college taking multiple classes. I have been employed at a tutoring center for the past two years. I teach catechism at my church, & am involved in various activities there as well. I am a member of NAHS, NHS, People to People, as well as other clubs (Human Rights, V-Day, Key, Environmental, Math, Literary, French, &Animal Welfare). Along with my friend, we started an informational group regarding Darfur at our school. I assisted my film teacher on his graduate project. I have only taken the ACT once, recieving a score of 29. I will retake this in the fall w/ the SAT.

What are the chances of getting into MSU, U of M, NYU, Brown, & UCLA?
