Let me see if I understand...

Your parents are married, not divorced, and they both filed Head-of-Household on their taxes? If this is the case your parents are going to need to amend their tax forms before you will be eligible for financial aid. According to IRS Publication 501 to file as Head of Household you must 1) be unmarried on the last day of the year, 2) have paid more than 50% of the up keep of the home, and 3) had a 'qualifying person' living with you.

The financial aid office is asking for tax forms to verify that the information you provided on the FAFSA is correct. When they discover that your parent's taxes were filed incorrectly they will have a conflict of information that, according to the US Department of Education, must be resolved before aid can be awarded. Even correcting your FAFSA won't resolve this issue because your parent's tax forms will still be incorrect. You need to get them involved asap so your aid can be determined for the fall.

You should be able to fix things, but jump on it. Don't wait.
