Well, those examples are just initials - abbreviated versions of the words using the initial capital letters of each of the words.

But I think the word you're looking for may be "acronym."

Acronyms are real or pronounceable words that are also abbreviations. For example, PAL (a real word all by itself) is the acronym for the Police Athletic League. My favorite acronym is SNAFU which stands for (Situation Normal All F****d Up).
