Is this just another way of saying first cousin or second cousin? I don't quite understand what "removed" means.

I'm leaving for college in August and I have an on-campus apartment, with a lot more room than a traditional dorm has. However, I live on the east coast and my college is in California, so just shipping a lot of my stuff would be expensive. The fact is, since I have a kitchen, I need to bring all my cooking stuff (I like to make my own meals b.c im a vegetarian), which is a lot of heavy objects. That plus the fact that I love to read and I have quite a few collections going, I just can't decide what to bring. There is a full-size refrigerator and a oven/stove in my apartment as well as the basic beds, couches, coffee table, and desks. There is a storage area included in my apartment (at least in the online layout) and my room isn't a bad size either and there are a lot of closets.

I just want advice on the amount of clothing to bring, what of my "stuff" to take and what to leave home?

thnx

P.S.- I have no way of contacting my roommates (there will be 3 others, two to a room)!

I'm debating whether I see any point in doing a PhD in physics or not. On the plus side, I'd get experimental skills in the area and I liked the physics friends that I would be returning to in graduate school at McMaster. But I can't convince myself of any economic justification for doing it. I really don't see myself as a postdoc or professor down the line and just because I could do physics doesn't mean I have a specific interest in any particular field. I would be making around $24000 per year as a grad student.

Now what I've been debating is retraining for a degree in commerce, specifically for finance or accounting. There's lots of jobs constantly listed in the local newspaper for these positions and the income after a few years would be much greater than a few years than the 10 years as a postdoc. Would investing another four years into a commerce degree be a worthwhile investment?

I was wondering whether anyone knew of any particular story done where you draw and tell a story at the same time for children? If anyone has any links, or have any they done that would be great.
