Judging by the number of badly spelled questions and answers...

The internet seems to have a profound negative impact on spelling. From the LOLs to the veery badly speld werds. Sad, but I just hope that people dont write this bad in real life.

I think improving. I couldn't spell very well until spell check came along. I do a lot of reading and look for so many different things on the internet. It is just so handy. I'm hoping a lot of the poorly posed questions are from people in other countries. The interesting questions are the ones with bad spelling and poor grammar that ask why didn't I get called for that interview.

Just like any other thing man has invented with the intention of improving our lives,some ppl misuse it.
I have never seen so much disreguard for self respect as is going on now with the way folks spell & talk!
Instead of talking about man's evolution,we should be afraid of mans devolvement!
I shudder to think about all the knuckle draggers out there who would be hunting & eating the "evolved",if God let's us get that far!

literacy is not the same as spelling.


More people have the potential to become literate, and learn about literature, due to Google and the Guttenberg (sp?) Project, as I recall.

I don't think computers are helping everything, but they are changing a lot of things.

i think their improving cause it takes less time to check your mistakes by computer than by hand
