"It's better to be hated for you are, then to be loved for who you're not." (don't know who it's by). But it's so true. If you're hated for being yourself, then what does it matter if you're being yourself?

I was told the correct way to express time was to use either 10 a.m. or 10 AM. Now I just read that it should be written 10am with no space after the number. What is correct and who decides what's correct anyway?

My daughter is in 6th grade and is failing math. We sit her down and explain it to her but she doesnt seem to catch on. Do you know of any kind of help for her age group that will help teach her? I have a conference with her teacher tomorrow night but we go through this every time and they never seem to be able to offer her any kind of help.

I graduated this past year with a bachelors degree in Biology. After taking some time off, I'm ready to go back to school. The only problem is that my GPA (a 2.4) isn't high enough to even be considered by most med schools. If I take undergraduate courses at a local college (community college), can those apply to my undergraduate GPA? What if I took classes at the same school I already have a degree from?

Or- once you have a degree can you not take classes to affect the GPA? Is there anything else I can do? Has anyone been in this same situation?

He loves math, history and English but he says he has trouble understanding them. He was held back a grade b/c of it. But he's not dumb, it's just that it's hard to understand when you can't hear. And 35-40 years ago when he was a kid, teachers weren't all that helpful. I think he FEELS dumb. How can I 1) help his self-esteem and 2) help him improve at math and English? Have other deaf ppl experienced this?
