activity based teaching would include centers (different parts of the room where student focus on one activity or subject i.e. reading center, math center). Another activity based idea would been doing plays, mock trials, anything interactive that gets the kids moving.

Playing a game - such as a board game with a map of the world for Geography class. Using practical applications - making purchases on a credit card, calculating sales tax, calculating interest payments - for multiplying with decimals.
