after high school it is best to stay with the flow of going to school. it will be hard to get back into the groove of things if you stop and then start going again. another really good option is a community college. they are inexpensive and offer just as many or more classes and activities as other colleges do. plus you have the benefit of living home (most of the time rent free) and you can still gain the "college experience" while attending a community college. also try and get a summer job or if you have a job already have THEM work around YOUR schedule with school. it is difficult to concentrate on school as it is, so as much support and help you can get from those around you is going to be most definitely appreciated! Good luck..

Let me tell you what the best thing to do is after high school. DO NOT GET A JOB! Spend the summer with your friends and do absolutely NOTHING! You will have plenty of time to work in college and after college. DON’T follow the sheep. America is all about work work work . Believe me, if you party this summer you’ll look back 10 years from now and say to yourself…”damn, that jack holmes guy was right”.

There is no one "best" for everyone. Best for me would not have been best for you.
