This is probably odd for a 22 year old to bring up but may be the problems I am having are because of dyslexia or perhaps bad memory and grammer? I am at university so things are difficult.

I find it difficult to understand what I read complicated books. When I try to take notes in a lecture my writing is so scruffy I can't read it. Normally my writing is not like this but I find the lectures too fast. Either I am bad at spelling or I keep on spelling words like decieve, or concieve wrong. Thank god for spell checker.
To revise I have to write out the same thing over and over and over again so I can at least remember some of it. At high school the only C's I got were in Math, Art, RE.
So could I be dyslexic?

When I'm interested in a subject, I'm usually not only interested, but quirkily obsessed. I have always had in these "interests" (which have ranged from rocks to Napoleon and Claude Rains to Russian history) a desire to share my passion with others. I like to write, research and travel. Therefore, I thought that the perfect job for me would be that of a college professor.

If you are a professor, or are soon hoping to become one, I would greatly appreciate any tips or observations about the occupation that might support or even tear down my warm-and-fuzzy goal. Is there any aspect of the job I'm missing? Is there a college I should consider over, say, Duke or Yale, because of a program that would aid me in reaching my destination?

Simply put, the internet provides beaucoup de information on how to become a doctor or the president, but very little (other than eHow) on how to become a professor. I'd love any information from the experts. Thanks!

I'm for schools being run like corporations because of the serious lack of education that this country is recieving. Parents would have the option of which school to send their kids too and in turn provide competition between public schools to become better. If one school is becoming subpar they should be able to be taken over by a better school. This would create a need to provide a better education. And in a sense the parents would act as the shareholders. With this notion, the goal would not to make money but to provide students with education.

Here are some negative counterarguments I've heard:

Corruption, which happened with the No Child Left Behind Act. (Teachers passing students to meet requirements)

Leaving underprivileged children behind

Not providing adequate equipment

Corruption, while possible, is minimal. Equipment would be considered fixed assets, and leaving underpriveleged kids behind would be one standard of judging the schools performance.

Some Science homework, I have no idea!

The question is:

When cleaning a room, some poeple say that you should dust the furniture before you vacuum the carpet. Others insist that it is better to vaacuum the carpet before dusting the furniture.

(a) What order is more sensible?

(b) Give a valid reason

And remember, this has to do with static electricity, not housework!

Okay, I have just been reading yesterday's paper and what next. Brit Muslims ban gym, including mixed pe lessons in uk state schools. No exams, parent evenings during the month of Ramadam, including no swimming lessons, this is because they will break thier fast by swallowing swimming water, and schools should provide prayer rooms. This country is being invaded and for one I don't like it one little bit. Feed back on this please.
