I read a study that said that boys account 85% of all behavioral issues in school (primary school). I have found this to be the case at the school I work at (I am not an actual teacher but I do work with the children). I would say that more than half of the boys (these are boys in grades 1-4) have very poor social skils, act crass, show very little respect for property (toys, etc.) & want to do nothing else than play hand-held video games. They have no interest in reading books, etc. Are all boys like this across the country? Or is it just because our school is on the border of a high-crime section of the city. What, if anything, can be done to remedy this problem?
