I have just recently finished with my internship program and i hold a bachelor's degree in dentistry from an Indian university{india}.I wish to know what I would need to do to continue in U.S.I know I will have to write exams but can I clear them and practice or I have to compulsorily study for a time. And if so do the no. of years depend on my score or the university decides it?..I have a good academic record with some rank certificates. Will that help in any case? How can i start working at the earliest after i reach there?I have heard of board exams with 3 attempts. And i can't join in any university alloted on application or random as i will be in one place.Take for example California...I Don't have much idea and i would be extremely thankful for some genuine help and answers. How can i make it all as easy as possible?I know its a hard way but im ready to go through.WAITING IN ANTICIPATION FOR SOME GOOD HELP.And i might go after a few months of job experience in the MIDDLE EAST.

Here's the sentence from a practice TOEIC exam: "As you know, he WAS previously MANAGING our Texas outfit, but he HAS just ARRIVED this morning . . . " (caps indicate blanks. can't figure out how to underline here)

Why can't we say, He HAS previously MANAGED . . ." in ths sentence? I am teaching a TOEIC class and I can't explain this grammar. I know that British English uses "has" more than we Yanks do. (I would just say, "He just arrived . . ." Please explain this in simple terms for a non-native speaker. Thanks!

I am turning in a final paper for college and I am trying to avoid plagiarism. Can someone give me an example of how to cite this paraphrase in text and how to include it on my reference page?

My paraphrase: During the 1800's, nursing was identified as a popular employment opportunity for women who were beginning to be accepted outside of traditional home-based roles (Cummings, 1995). Cummings notes that men were often rfused admission to nursing schools; they were allowed admission to only 68 of the
1,300 nursing schools in 1941 (Cummings, 1995).

I have been trying to figure this out for years. I don't really know why I never asked my teacher in school, but you know. I've used certain words for years, but just recently I was laughed at because how I was forming my sentences. I don't know if it's because I was using the wrong words, or because they just think it's funny how I choose to talk. I live in the South, most down here talk funny as it is, but I talk differently than most. But any way, on to my question.

What is the past tense for of "ruin"? Is it ruint.. or ruined?

I am a senior right now and get decent grades. I take AP classes and honors classes. My junior year i finished ap calculus, ap statistics, and ap english to name a few. I can probably get accepted to the school of my choice, the university of california of.... But however I have no idea waht i want to do. I have the grades to get into school, but would it be such a bad idea to go to a junior college and then transfer? I mean i'd be saving myself lots of money and time to figure out my plan. However therse that chance of not getting in. I just feel that if i go to the college, i'll be taking intro courses and just work that i could do at a JC and im not exactly well off to be throwing money away. im just in the middle. So my quesiton is: if i get into the school of my choice, would it be a bad idea to give it up an go to a JC then transfer? Im just curious...
