I have been trying to figure this out for years. I don't really know why I never asked my teacher in school, but you know. I've used certain words for years, but just recently I was laughed at because how I was forming my sentences. I don't know if it's because I was using the wrong words, or because they just think it's funny how I choose to talk. I live in the South, most down here talk funny as it is, but I talk differently than most. But any way, on to my question.
What is the past tense for of "ruin"? Is it ruint.. or ruined?

I just noticed I pressed the wrong key. I meant to say.. "seem", not "seen". =)

HAHAHAHAHA.. Show me one person in the North that speaks "proper" English. Oh, I'm sorry, "decent" English. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
I strive to correct the way I speak. I want the whole sterotype of the South to be gone. Not all down here are complete idiots. Must be why I asked instead of going on thinking one way, and it's the other.

Also, please don't tell me you speak decent English if you try to say it's ruined, and you say, "it ruined". Not exactly proving your point, now are you?!

Oh my.. trying to tell me you're speaking decent English when you use the wrong your/you're, and you misspell "where".
Remember one thing.. YOU+ARE equals YOU'RE!
