I have a final project for my literature class where i have to find parallels to the above books. Modern film, music, television, people in the news would really help. I need a song for each book and explain how it relates. All answers will be kindly accepted.

“A thousand words are a few,
One enemy is too many”

Means…it’s better to write one thousand to ten thousand words than to have a enemy. Another example like this is “ It’s better to take this normal longer road than to take the smaller road that is full of risk, but is twenty minutes shorter.” It’s a meaning of it’s better to take this one, and it’s also worth it, just to not do it again, and not take this risk and not have troubles, or either, not have enemies giving you more than a thousand words to write. So instead, I’d just take the longer one, which is worth it, and not have to have a longer route, and difficult time doing it, and not have enemies, giving you more work to do. When you’re ever in school, at work, any other kind of job.. or maybe even home with your family, and they ask you to do some thing… But you don’t even want to do it, so your boss\relatives starts to get mad, and they decide to make it two, also becomes your enemy, and they might also go home mad.

I'm new to this and after reading some of the questions thought...ok...maybe some people can't spell...that's not a sin.
I'm not good at spelling either. BUT when I posted an answer...WOW ...couldn't believe it...there IS spellcheck. My saviour. WOOHOO.
Now I don't have to look uneducated...spellcheck does it all for me.

Just some background information: I'm currently going to a school (Buffalo State College) that I hate for many reasons. I'm going to be transferring to a local, community college (Erie CC) for Fall 2007 and Spring 2008. However, for Fall 2008, I plan on going to another college, preferably a SUNY school, for a major in English, with the possibility of a minor in Journalism.

What are the top SUNY schools for English majors? I preferably don't want a huge school, but if that's what it takes, then I'll settle with it. If someone could give me some suggestions of SUNY schools with good English departments, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you could let me know your source for how you know the school has a good English department, that would be great.

On a side note, English at Buffalo State College is a joke - ENG101 was easier than anything at my high school ever was.
