I'm new to this and after reading some of the questions thought...ok...maybe some people can't spell...that's not a sin.
I'm not good at spelling either. BUT when I posted an answer...WOW ...couldn't believe it...there IS spellcheck. My saviour. WOOHOO.
Now I don't have to look uneducated...spellcheck does it all for me.

I'm right there with you!! So many people post questions, and I can't even understand what they're asking because it's spelled wrong or just makes no sense. I'm glad it's not just me that it makes crazy!! Spell check is there for a reason-USE IT!!

Note to AnswerMe: << This isn't really a formal website. People aren't getting paid to answer these questions. >>

Which, in your estimation, excuses poor grammar and spelling?

<< Also, a lot of internet slang goes on. You just have to deal with all that. >>

Why?

<< But, honestly, I don't think that it really matters if their answers are grammatically correct. What is important is the content of their answer. You can usually figure out what they're trying to say. >>

In a Words and WordPlay section? Puh-leeze.

Alas, you didn't use the CAPS CHECKER, punctuation checker, or spellchecker [yourself].

Seems people don't care about it, which is sad, spell check only takes a few seconds, and for those who don't know how to spell, it's an important tool to help you learn, even though your answer might be right, or if you have a valid point, if you show you can't even spell correctly people won't take you seriously.

This isn't really a formal website. People aren't getting paid to answer these questions. They just do it 'cause they want to help somebody out. Some people are in a hurry and don't want to mess with it, and some people just don't care. Also, a lot of internet slang goes on. You just have to deal with all that. But, honestly, I don't think that it really matters if their answers are grammatically correct. What is important is the content of their answer. You can usually figure out what they're trying to say.

I asked that same question myself. If I recall, the best answer had mistakes in it (on purpose).

They don't want to take the time or they are not familiar enough with the site to know how to use it!@~

LOL

I don't feel like taking time to do it.

I do feel like taking time to attempt good spelling, though, so that makes up for it.
