I have a final project for my literature class where i have to find parallels to the above books. Modern film, music, television, people in the news would really help. I need a song for each book and explain how it relates. All answers will be kindly accepted.

also the project is about the characters and theme, you have to draw parallels with them only not the plot or any thing else.

It is easy for Siddhartha:
The 1972 Yes song Close to The Edge from the Close to the Edge album was inspired by the book.
Radiohead's 2001 album Amnesiac contains themes and lyrics inspired by the book (especially "Pyramid Song", "I Might Be Wrong", and "Like Spinning Plates")
Slovenian rock band Siddhartha is named after the book. The members say that they "liked the sound of the title."
Rockband Queen recites a passage from Siddhartha in their 1977 BBC re-take of the song We Will Rock You. [1]
The 1971 Ralph McTell song The Ferryman from the You Well Meaning Brought Me Here album was inspired by the book.

For Gatsby you might note Seattle-based rock band Gatsbys American Dream derived their name from an obvious theme in the book.

The Chosen (I assume you mean the book by Chaim Potok) is tough but you might note The Chosen was made into a movie in 1981 and into a play in 2004.

Good luck

F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote, "The rich are different from you and I." To which Ernest Hemingway replied, "Yes. They have more money." If you search on this line, you'll find some references to rich people whose lives have imploded in similar ways to Gatsby: they have been prosecuted for crimes, for example. As to The Chosen, there's a computer game with that name. There's also a guy who is a reggae singer and an orthodox Jew -- maybe you can check out his lyrics and see if there's a tie-in. He goes by the performing name Matisyahu. Here's a review on Amazon that compares The Chosen to Matisyahu: http://www.amazon.com/gp/community-content-search/results/ref=cm_srch_q_rtr/?query=%22the+chosen%22&index=community-reviews-realtime&resultPerPage=10&excrepts=true&excreptsSize=512&idx.asin=B000BYCOD6.
