Just say I'm sorry but we can't afford to keep u on.
it's been great having you work for us but unfortunately things have changed n I have no choice but to let u go.
I wish I didn't have to do this but I have to let you go.
we no longer need your services .I'm sorry
you have been n asset to our company but I'm sorry but we no longer need u or will have to let u go.
This is the last thing I want to b doing but I have to n that's to let u go but u where such an asset to us it's just we no longer need u

Firstly, I would give the guy a warning! Sorry, just making sure. Also, you could say that he isn't cut out for this job and then list his faults.

How about

"He isn't doing a good job, I think we need to fire him" or
"I think he would do better somewhere else" or
"I don't think this is the best job for him"
