It's "Do as I say, not as I do". And it's bloody easy - how many times did your father say to you "I'm the boss - you just do as I say!" But it's a bloody good question - you deserve 10 points just for pointing out the obvious. I just wish some actions YELLED louder than words! But I don't think there's a soul on earth that hasn't lived with the "Do as I say; not as I do"! I personally like the "This is the way it is" bit myself and then "do it".

Usually it's not. The point of the saying "Do as I say, not as I do" is about how you should model good behavior, not just talk about it.
