Ok, If you can slove this question and tell me how you did that would be great!

Little Cindy Lou Who and Rudolf wanted to have a play date,but Whovill and Christmastown are 5,400 miles apart!Rudolfs mom suggested that they meet somewhere in between,according to the following algorithm.Rudolf can fly at 700 miles per hour from christmas town to Whoville,while Cindy Lou Who can fly on her toy plane ate 200 miles an hour from Whoville to Christmastown.Assume they both travel in a stright line,and they will stop to have their play date where they meet.If both set out at the same time how many miles will Rudolf travel before meeting Cindy Lou Who?

have you ever graded a paper based on knowledge and skill , or based on the good looks of a student .??
to be more specific... when my english teacher always looked at me as if he was inlove with me .He always wanted to see me. everyday almost . never went alone , and he never requested to see me alone. my grades were always 98% to 100% (in english). i was also a great writer.( i am a lady)..

My 6 year-old son was slow to talk. He spoke words and phrases until he was 2, then once he learned to form sentences he hasn't stopped talking. He talks from the moment he wakes up til the moment he falls asleep. He is very smart and enjoys explaining even the simplest ideas. He is in the GT (Gifted and Talented) program in school, but he's the only student that qualified, so he doesn't have anyone his own age to challenge thoughts with. He loves to read, which comes from me reading to him all his life.
The problem with him talking out in class is that he disrupts the class and prevents the other students from learning. He will tell me "I had my hand raised but my teacher won't call on me so I can talk." I explain that there are only certain times to talk because there are times we need silence to do our work. He's been in school since he was 3 and he loves school.
I'm just wondering if there are any other parents out there that have found a solution to the question I am posing.

Division question:
Ones digit in the quotient is the same as tens digit in the dividend.
Sum of digits in the dividend is 17.
Divisor is 5
Remainder is 3

My daughter who is in 5th grade had this problem on her homework assignment the other night. We did come up with the answer but the teacher is saying it is wrong. We sent a note to the teacher questioning why it was wrong. She sent home explantion as to why it is wrong, but her explanation didn't make sense. Want to be sure our answer is correct before I talk to her about this. If anyone comes up with the answer please let me know.

You have been locked in a small room, with diminishing oxygen. your captor has taken everything from you except your clothes. there are no windows and only one exit through a tightly sealed steal door. the door can not be opened manually. the only objects in the room besides you are two pieces of rope, a lighter, and a clue that will help you escape. the clue is something like this:

The two pieces of rope each burn for 60 minutes, but all parts of the rope do not burn at consistent rates. next to the door you should notice on small button. if you push that button once and then again exactly 45 minutes later, the door will open. you must figure out how to time the 45 mintues using the ropes and lighter. if you don't get it right, you will be trapped in that room when the oxygen runs out. good luck
