Are you on a ten point scale?

jhu guy is correct. the f's=0 the a's=4 so it would be 8 divided by 4 or 2.0 ( hes being kind when he says not real good)

however --different classes have different number of credit hours--so if your F is in a 5 hour class and the A is in a 3 hour class, then obv. the A is not worth as much as the F, and your gpa is even worse!!!

as a side note--hopefully u arent speaking for yourself cause if u cant calculate your GPA in college u dont need to be there.

Depends how many credits each class is worth, how many credits he is taking and how the GPA is calculated. At my school, Johns Hopkins, if the all four classes were four credits for a total of 16 credits, the GPA would be a 2.00. Not too good. But if the classes are not of equal credit value, the GPA will shift slightly up or down.

It depends. Different schools calculate GPA in different ways, but on a 4 point scale it would be about a 2 or a bit less. These links may help.

It depends on how many credits those classes are worth. Each class is weighted differently on the GPA scale based on how time-intensive the class is.

f= 0.0
d= 1.0
c= 2.0
b= 3.0
a= 4.0

The average of these values for each class is your GPA, assuming each was a single, normal credit.
