Being a former teacher myself, I know we get a lot of (well meaning) junky presents. I personally prefered gift cards, but is that too impersonal for a child's beloved teacher? Are mani/pedi gift certs too personal?? I need help!!!

Hi, for all that do not know, the IB is a diploma programme designed for High School students. To complete the diploma you are required to take a "art". I chose IB Music, a class which is about music theory and history.

One component of the class is the MI, which stands for Musical Investigation. For that you have to take 2 different genres of music and compare & contrast them. The genres have to represent a culture.

I want to do something that has to do with chords and modern day Britpop and relate it to Hindustani music. I am open to other suggestions, but my idea is due in 5 days so I need to get it decided so I can do some reasearch.

Any suggestions? Thank you for reading.

I e-mailed someone replying to a post Someone was giving away a free pit bull dog. They said that they spoil the dog, yet in the pictures they have the dog on a heavy chain with a padlock. They said that people are e-mailing and getting mad because she is giving away a pit bull. I e-mailed saying

"People are not e-mailing because you are giving a pit bull away, they are e-mailing because you say that you spoil her, yet you have her on a big heavy chain with a freaken padlock.. I mean, come on, get a clue."

She replies

"thats so she will not get loose, i don't fight my dog, never have she is my daddy"


Is "she is my daddy" some kind of slang for something? I just don't get it.

Because of his inability to be still and focus he is quickley falling behind in his learning process. Learning ABC`s and colors . What can I do to try get him ready and able to start kindergarden with his age group. I don`t believe (unless totaly necessary) to hold him back a year . I don`t want to teach him to live as if he has a dissability because he tends to be a very smart boy. I need ways to catch his attention to learn these things. once I have his interest he will learn but getting his interest is the problem.
