If your child goes to a public school the school will have a list of local tutors, many times these are teacher who want to make some extra money. Just ask for the tutor list.

You might ask at your local high school if they have kids in higher level math classes who maybe have the desire to be a teacher, and they might tutor your child inexpensively. Many high schools require the kids to do a public service project, so if a kid has that assignement, (s)he might even tutor for free.
