have you ever graded a paper based on knowledge and skill , or based on the good looks of a student .??
to be more specific... when my english teacher always looked at me as if he was inlove with me .He always wanted to see me. everyday almost . never went alone , and he never requested to see me alone. my grades were always 98% to 100% (in english). i was also a great writer.( i am a lady)..

Believe it or not, there is research to suggest that students who are "better looking" get better grades overall. And the same work submitted by a student who is not as "good looking" gets a lower mark. It is connected to the "halo effect"/

We had a problem with that at my old school. My speech teacher would sit out in with the rest of the class during presentations and when a particular student gave his speech, she gave him an "A" before he even started. She was a bit screwed up. I'd keep an eye on this guy if'n I was you.

it does not really happens so often but again it depends on that particular teacher, his pschycology and education. sometimes love is blind.
