I'd inform your main on the college. Tell your mom and dad. Bullies will maintain being bullies till they're compelled to quit. If you are afraid, try to see the main in the course of an "off" time. Maybe earlier than college, or after college. At a time in which alot of children would not see you. Even name the main from residence. Don't battle this man, It's no longer the reply. Besides, alot of faculties have a nil tolerance coverage on violence. Meaning, when you truthfully battle this man, YOU would emerge as suspended (or worse) for combating.

If you go to a public school, I doubt whether such a law would be constitutional. Take the suspension like a man, and don't back down. Contact the ACLU to help with fighting the law, if there is one. No matter what, fight for your freedom.

If it's a private school, you're out of luck. They're allowed to make their own rules.

Check your school's dress code and find out if they have a rule. If they don't, then your teachers have no right to make you cut it. If they do, then you can still do something about it. If it's important to you, start a petition. Get as many students as possible to sign it. Show the completed petition to your principal and explain to him/her that you think it isn't fair to make you cut your hair and look at all the students who agree. If you do a good job and others believe in your cause, you might change your principal's mind. If he/she doesn't budge, at least you gave it a shot. Good luck and I hope I've helped!

Hair, the eternal source of conflict. I dont blame you for hanging on to this. Children often use hair as a bastion of their human rights . I know I did as a child. Adults often overrule you and you seethe. Reading your question just made me remember.

No, there is nothing you can do, and it is best to choose the hair salon yourself so that you have some dignity left. You might as well also get some perks for being "reasonable".
Negotiate for something otherwise wont be given to you such as a toy, a new game, a meal in your favorite place to eat.

laws...no, but every school has the right to enforce a uniform/dress code...if you could prove that your hair is long for a religious purpose ie. Rastafarianism, then you might have a shot but otherwise you are going to waste a lot of time and possibly $ trying to fight this...you might be able to cut a deal with them such as keeping it tied up while at school...I had the same problem in HS but it was with my football coach...as long as they don't threaten to stop you from attending school they are safe, by putting you in ISS your parents can not argue that they are stopping you from getting an education...let it go, it will always grow back...

Schools can make you punk kids do whatever they want. They can give you a dress code and a hair cut code, and in the future the law can do it to you punks on the street... They're already trying to pass laws against people sagging their pants calling it public indecency. I must say, long hair is public indecency to me. Damn punks and thugs. I say it's high time they start forcing you kids to conform. That whole ADHD thing is a great start to controling and conforming you out of control kids.

There is nothing you can do, you know why?
'Cause they're big and you're small.

Believe it or not, in China, when you reach middle school, you MUST cut your hair. (I know this because I came here from China three years ago) It doesn't matter if it's a public school or not. You just have to. I just thought you might want to know.

I don't know where you live; but in NYS, there is no law that can make you cut your hair.

if you go to private school they can tell you what to do. If you are in a public school fight it with the school board!
