Ill be in San Fran on Thursday Night. I dont want to do the Tourist stuff or chain places. Im looking for a cool area with good eats and fun places to go after. Things that a Local would do rather than a Tourist.
Any suggestions, weblinks and neighborhoods would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance!!!

I am considering getting breakfast and was thinking of a breakfast burrito but the last time i had eggs at a fast food place, the texture was weird. Anyhow, these are the choices that are close by:

1. McDonalds
2. Wendy's
3. Taco Bell
4. Jack in the Box
5. Burger King
6. IHOP/Denny's to go (not really fast food)

Thx

At my favorite restaurant, I'm considered a very good tipper.

As a matter of fact? There are several senior waitresses (middle aged women), who are "pulling rank" on the other waitresses, in order to have me as their customer. That hasn't bothered me up until now, but lately there has been a new waitress - very good looking - who I would like to have waiting on me.

But at this point? She couldn't wait on me if she wanted to, because these other waitresses keep "hijacking" me as their customer. I know I can tell these other waitresses to just "screw off" - but I would like to do this without hurting any of their feelings. And besides - since they have a lot of senority - they have the ability to mess up this other waitress by cutting her hours or otherwise seeking retaliation. And they would do it to.

So what's the best way to handle this situation?

My experience has been that white people are friendly to minorites when alone, but when white people are in groups they're significantly less friendly to minorities. I've gone to restaurants with friends in predominately white neighborhoods and have been made to wait while many white patrons coming after me got seated and served before us.

Should one point it out to the staff and risk getting worse service on the visit? Perhaps put up with the poor service and not come back?

It costs seven bucks with guacamole and I'm kinda hungry, but I don't want to spend seven bucks on something I can get by without. It would be more of a snack at this point.

I notice that you almost always have to sign the receipt when you use your credit card, even at the movies. Why is it fast food and food court restaurants don't usually have you sign? Can I refuse to pay the charges on my card since technically I never agreed to by signing anything?
